It is a constant process against the bad actors who are constantly trying to come up with ways to abuse the systems. Hillel discusses finding the balance between security and design. A core target for the bad actors has become API’s. API’s have many benefits and allow us to work with third parties, but that is why they are a target as well. A lot of business logic has been moved around recently. We need to focus on what we need our API’s to let people to do, are we trying to keep them flexible but pared down, and finally do we have a program in place to understand what the ramifications are for those API’s.
